Bayou Terrebonne Waterlife Museum

Museum honoring the economic, social and historical culture of Terrebonne Parish through exciting interactive displays. Visit the gallery and gift shop. Open Tues-Fri 10am-5pm, Sat 12pm-4pm. Cajun band performs on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30-7pm.

Chauvin Sculpture Garden

The garden has more than 100 concrete sculptures and is open from dawn to dusk, seven days a week. Free to the public. The NSU Folk Art Studio is open from 1pm-3pm every Monday, Wednesday and Friday and by appointment.

Regional Military Museum

Museum boasts collection of uniforms, weapons, and vehicles, as well as an extensive library of war-related books. Open 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., Monday-Friday. Admission is $3 for adults, $2 for seniors, and free for children under 12 or members of the museum.

Southdown Plantation/Terrebonne Museum

History and culture museum in 19th Century sugar plantation manor house. Tours given every hour; last tour at 3pm. Large gift shop. Twice yearly Arts & Crafts festival. Tuesday-Saturday from 10am-4pm. No credit cards.

Terrebonne Folklife Culture Center

Dedicated to preserving Cajun culture. Local folk art on display. Weekly classes offered Cajun dancing, wood carving, quilting, Cajun French, square dancing, knitting and crocheting. Individual and groups welcome. Center open Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
